Reasons to love Swedish boutiques

Boutique in Helsingborg

Reasons to love Swedish Boutiques instead of going for the massive chains like H&M? Well I have plenty for you. Hello guys welcome to what will be (at least for the foreseeable future) my weekly blog updates. I recently went on my annual trip to Sweden to visit my family. I fall in love every time I am out there. This time I dared to venture into unkown territory... for me at least! Swedish boutiques! So without further ado, here are five reasons to love Swedish boutiques

1. RELAXED ENVIRONMENT

Do you hate loud music when shopping? I do but in the small Swedish boutique I was in, there is none of that. So that is the first reason to love Swedish boutiques. Music in stores is a consumer psychology tool that's meant to encourage customers to buy more. You can read more here: (https://thinkgrowth.org/stores-are-using-music-to-make-you-spend-more-d6c85974b20b). This is because it makes customers stay longer in the store (increasing the chances of buying). It also creates an aspirational environment which encourages customers to spend more, even if they can't afford it.

2. UNIQUE STATEMENT PIECES

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there's nothing new under the sun

Ecclesiastes 1:9

The second reason to love Swedish boutiques is that you find unique statement pieces. Of course uniqueness is limited because there's nothing new under the sun. But getting clothing from boutiques avoids the fashion faux pas of b***h stole my look. Especially if clothing items are trending. I absolutely loved this coat above because I haven't seen it in any shops recently which means I won't be twinning with a million other people. Plus buying from a boutique is so much cheaper than buying designer but so much better than buying high street. This is because you are investing in the higher quality that comes with slow fashion, quality over quantity.

3. GET A HOME DECOR IDEA OR TWO

The next reason to love Swedish boutiques is that you get home decor ideas. I am a young professional and so I am very interesting in having my own home. Going into a boutique is like killing a multitude of birds with one stone. You get the relaxed environment, the unique style and you also get ideas for what you want your own home to look like. While I won't be buying reeds to decorate the house with, I got to understand the importance of centre pieces. When used effectively, they tie all the decor together to create one effortless theme. I will definitely be taking this visual tip when decorating my place.

4. FIND 'RARE' ITEMS

This one is a bit of a gamble so I wouldn't recommend that you set finding specific rare items as a goal in mind when vising boutiques. I think with these it's just a chance occurrence where you have been looking for something for a while and you happen to find. It would be rather frustrating if you set out to find specific items in big chain stores let alone boutiques. But when you find that item that you have been seeking and had given up hope on, it's the most fulfilling experience ever.

5. HOME ORGANISATION IDEAS

The home decor strikes again... reasons to love Swedish boutiques extend beyond just making yourself look good. You get ideas on how to make your house look good too. So the final reason to love Swedish boutiques is that you get home organisation ideas. I don't live in a particularly large house so space is limited. When space is limited you want to optimise your home organisation to create the illusion of space. Stacking up your earrings and having all your jewellery in one place like above is a phenomenal idea.

None of the reasons here are exclusive to Swedish Boutiques but I emphasis Sweden because the tendency there is to have simple beauty. And those are my top five reasons to love Swedish Boutiques.
